Estimator / Process Planner

 

Job Requirements:    

 

• Able to read, analyze and understand complex machining and casting drawings for major assemblies, sub-assemblies, detail parts and components.

• High level knowledge in machining of metallic and non-metallic material, casting, fabrication, heat treatment, non-destructive testing, processing, finishing and assembly processes.

• Good knowledge about cutting tools, fixtures, gauges and measuring instruments required to produce the parts and assemblies.

• Plan, determine and develop manufacturing operations and estimate set up and run times.

• Prepare and submit manufacturing cost estimation in response to customers request for quotation in a timely manner.

• Prepare process plan/ job traveler / work order.

• Proficient with MS Office

• Ability to use CAD software to retrieve 3D CAD files such as .stp, .iges for use on quotations.

 

 

Qualifications:    

 

• Ideal candidate will have solid background in machining trade, enhanced with Manufacturing Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering /Industrial Engineering qualification.

• 5-10 years’ experience in aerospace and defense industry

• Manufacturing process planning and estimating experience in precision machining is a must.

• Detail oriented, meticulous and attentive, and a good team player with integrity, interpersonal, organizational and time management skill 

• Ability to communicate well with customers, suppliers as well as shop employees.

• Must pass Security Clearance: CGP
